What is Pop Smoke?
Pop Smoke is a low size, weight and power (LSWaP) modular, rail-mounted smoke deployment system designed to provide immediate obscuration from weapons, vehicles, or unmanned platforms. It uses military grade and commercially available smoke payloads to create directional smoke screens that temporarily degrade a hostile drone's visual targeting, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR). The system provides a simple, low-cost, spectrum-independent counter-UAS survivability capability for small units operating in drone-dense environments.
The Pop Smoke system enables rapid smoke deployment to degrade drone surveillance, targeting, and visual tracking. This allows personnel to maneuver, break contact, or conceal movement during a drone threat.
The system operates without power, software, or radio emissions. This low-cost spectrum-independent design avoids reliance on electronic warfare systems that may be unavailable or restricted.
Pop Smoke attachments mount directly to MIL-STD-1913 / NATO accessory rails and can be used on rifles, vehicles, or unmanned platforms. Its modular design allows rapid reload and compatibility with multiple smoke payloads.
